Accreditation:
The programmer is fully accredited by the Indian Nursing Council (August 2005). The College is under the affiliation of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences with effect from July 2005.
Duration of the course BSC NURSING: 4 years
The course is four academic years. The first year is expected to commence from 1st August every year.
A number of seats:
A number of seats available for admission to the first year B.Sc. Nursing Course is 25 (twenty-five).
Admission Procedure:
Candidates have to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JENPARH) and accordingly, admission takes place through e-counseling and seat is allotted according to rank order. JENPARH
Vacation:
Students are not permitted to have absenteeism during the course, but they will avail summer vacation, Puja vacation and other calendar leaves as per institutional rules.
Revision of Institutional rates:
The institution authority reserves the right to change/revise the prevailing rates as and when it considers necessary.
Refund of fees:
If a student leaves the college, fees will not be refunded except caution money deposit.
Hostel facilities:
Residential course. Accommodation will be provided according to the discretion of the Management. Students must abide by the Hostel & College rules and regulations.
Library:
There is a well-equipped library for the students.
Students activities:
Students will be required to participate in all activities organized by the institution, and also other colleges as and when required by the authority here.
Educational trip/experience in other institution:
The educational trip will be arranged during the course and students will have to bear the full expense of the trip. Expenses for clinical experience in other institutions will be borne by the students.
Uniform:
Students will have to bear the expenses of uniform prescribed by the institutional authority.
Eligibility criteria for BSC Nursing
Eligibility criteria to join of Nursing, Maa Sarada College of Nursing 2018 Kolkata
Eligibility for B.Sc. (Nursing)
a) Age should not be less than 17 years as by December 31st of the year of admission.
b) Candidate should be Medically fit (Both physically and mentally fit)
c) Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / English, Physics,
Chemistry, Botany & Zoology, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General and 40% or more aggregate marks for ST, SC and Physically challenged candidates.
) Female Indian candidates only
)A domicile certificate of continuous 5 years stay in West Bengal on the date of application
) Selection and admission will be based on JENPARH rank and through online counseling.
